There were 47 PhD theses submitted in total, among which 3 were chosen. The authors received financial rewards and special distinctions.Tomasz Żok's PhD thesis titled "Algorithmic Aspects of RNA Structure Similarity Analysis" (supervisor: dr. Marta Szachniuk) and defended at Poznań University of Technology was amongst the highest rated theses and of course received a distinction.The ceremony took place on 24th April 2019, in White Room of Poznań City Hall.
